Passenger complains of a fraud on board an airplane: He was charged for a pen twice

A flight attendant refused a passenger's request to lend him a pen and instead offered to buy him a writing utensil for £2.57. The incident happened to a passenger named Douglas Lazickirk, who was travelling on a Jetstar flight from Sydney to Seoul.

The man told his TikTok subscribers about the incident. He noted that although the stewardess had the right to refuse the request, Douglas called the offer to buy a pen a "potential fraud," the Daily Star reports.

"I went to the back and asked the woman if she had a pen I could borrow. I said there are five questions and I need to answer them quickly and write them down. She said I can't use her pen, but I can buy one for $5... or when I get there, use the pen there," the passenger under the handle @onlytravel said in the video.

In his video, the man notes that he was charged for the pen twice. He then complained about the incident on the company's website, hoping to get his money back. However, Douglas was told that the process of approving a refund would take 7 to 15 business days.

"Once the refund is approved, and I'm sure it will be approved because I have proof, it will take another 7 to 15 business days for the refund to be issued. Thus, it will take me at least another month before I get that money back. It's just an eternity for $20 (£10.29), it's just ridiculous," Douglas said.
