The flight attendant mentioned an item that she advises not to touch during the flight
An experienced flight attendant pointed out an item she strongly advises against touching during a flight: the tray table near the seats, often used during meal service.
The flight attendant mentioned that she had observed passengers using the tray table for purposes other than its intended use. The Velloy platform solicited tips from flight attendants at TUI, Virgin Atlantic, British Airways, and easyJet.
A crew member from easyJet stated, "Whether you're eating or snacking during the flight, never consume directly from the tray table. Flight attendants frequently witness passengers resting their heads, changing baby diapers, and even placing their feet on the tray table."
Of course, if passengers refrain from using the tray table and avoid placing food on it, they won't be at risk of contamination. However, travelers are advised to carry antibacterial wipes for wiping not only the tray table but also the armrests, headrests, window, and other hard-to-reach surfaces.
As previously reported by TravelWise, a flight attendant gave advice on what food you can take on the plane to stay full and ensure that you have a meal to your liking.
