"Dahi puri" and "egg bhurji" among the worst Indian street foods
Apart from many things, India also attracts attention for its street food. It becomes more and more diverse with every city you explore.
However, a list of the worst-rated Indian street food was recently published. And at the top of the list was the popular Dahi puri. The rating was compiled by Taste Atlas, a guide to traditional cuisines, according to newsbytesapp.com.
"Sev" is the "second worst", followed by "dabeli"
The second worst appetizer was sev, a hot snack from Madhya Pradesh. It is made from gram flour and spices. Next is the Gujarati delicacy dabeli.
From the famous Mumbai cuisine, the fourth place on this list is occupied by the Bombay sandwich. Other delicacies, such as bhurji egg, dahi wada and sabudana wada, took the fifth, sixth and seventh places, respectively.
"Bond" ranks last on the list
This list unexpectedly contains some of the most favorite street foods.
Papri chaat, a common dish of northern India, was ranked eighth on the list. While the Punjabi gobi paratha was ranked ninth, the fried appetizer bonda came in last.
Bonda, often cooked with potatoes, is a favorite snack in central, western, and southern India.

When Vada pav gained global recognition
Earlier this year, the popular Indian street food vada pav gained worldwide recognition after Taste Atlas ranked it 13th among the world's best sandwiches with a score of 4.4.
"This iconic street food is believed to have originated from a street vendor named Ashok Vaidya who worked near Dadar railway station in the 1960s and 1970s," Taste Atlas said.
