Stewardess reveals hidden information about the plane that is never told to passengers
It's no surprise that flight attendants know a lot more about airplanes than the most sophisticated passengers. Some information has long ceased to be a secret, but some of the facts may still surprise travelers.
On Reddit, in the AskReddit section, one user asked "what are the disturbing secrets passengers should know" and received a response from thousands of flight attendants. So, The Daily Star has revealed what secrets airplanes and airlines are hiding.
As it turned out, passengers do not have complete privacy during the flight. In particular, flight attendants can open the toilet door from the outside by lifting a metal plate with the inscription "toilet" and pulling the pin under it.
In addition, a user who introduced himself as a flight attendant said "Often you can find a corpse in the cargo hold." This is quite normal, as sometimes airlines have to return human remains to their families. However, this fact surprised Reddit readers.
It also became known that an emergency ax could be found in the cabin. According to one of the users: "It (the axe) will crush your skull (not tested), but it won't be able to pierce the airplane skin or windows (tested)."
It is noted that the presence of this tool on board the aircraft is legally enshrined and must be carried out when there are more than 19 passengers on board. This is necessary to break down the cockpit door if it is jammed or to break down panels to access fire sources.
