Items to avoid using in a hotel room
There's one hotel perk that many of us can't resist: free toiletries, especially in luxury hotels featuring brands that would never be justified for regular use at home.
However, according to an anonymous hotel manager on TikTok, these toiletries that we love to indulge in are actually something to avoid when staying in a hotel because you never know what is inside the bottles. This was reported by huffingtonpost.co.
The hotel manager, known as TravelingHotelManager on TikTok, says that when we stay in a hotel, we should never use shampoo, conditioner, or body wash provided by the hotel because they can be dangerous.
However, this does not apply to all hotels. If your toiletries are sold in sealed bottles, you'll be fine. But in hotels that use reusable containers, the hotel manager warns that these bottles can be filled by previous guests with any number of unknown liquids, including hair dye and bleach.
The expert adds that if you don't bring your own products, call the reception and ask for a fresh set or even mini versions.
"I urge once again that when it comes to large reusable bottles, never, ever use them. Trust me," the hotel manager emphasizes.
One commenter said they were afraid of hair removal products getting into the bottle, and in truly stunning news, the hotel manager confirms that this has happened.
