Which place is worth choosing on an airplane: in the aisle or by the window
People who frequently travel by plane often desire a window seat and go to great lengths to secure one. After all, from a window seat, you can enjoy bird's-eye views of cities or clouds, and even rest your head comfortably against it – a luxury that middle and aisle seats lack.
Joey Hadden, a reporter for Business Insider, has shifted her preference from window to aisle seats on airplanes. Having flown several times a year for nearly three years as a Business Insider reporter, her preferences have evolved, according to Business Insider.
Why is an aisle seat better than an airplane window seat?
"I'm flying more than ever now, and I prefer comfort over views on an airplane. The view from the window has lost its appeal; I prefer to make sure I'm comfortable during the flight," writes Joey Hadden. - "The more time I spend in the air, the more I notice how difficult it is for me to sit still in a cramped space for long periods of time. When I choose an aisle seat, I have the freedom to stand up and stretch my legs whenever I want without disturbing other passengers. During an average flight in the aisle, I usually get up once every hour or two and walk around the plane. After each such walk, I return to my seat feeling refreshed. I have found that frequent breaks from sitting make the flight time go by faster."
It's also good for your health
Earlier, BI reported that travelers should stretch their legs during long-haul flights to avoid deep vein thrombosis, a blood clot that occurs when sitting for long periods.
"When I was sitting by the window, I know I got up less often, probably because I didn't want to disturb the passengers sitting in the middle and aisle sections of the cabin," the reporter adds. - "Of course, now they ask me to stand up, but I don't mind. My new seat preference works for me as a traveler who prefers movement to rest."
