To take advantage of this, you need to inform the airport staff that the reason for your delay was a flat tire. Travel expert Jake Peterson shared a viral video on TikTok about how he was offered a ticket for the next flight.
The passenger shared with his followers that he had missed his flight due to a flat tire but remained optimistic.
"Fortunately, most airlines have a flat tire policy - American, Delta, United. There's a button on the agent's computer that says 'flat tire policy,' and they'll put you on the next flight for free," the author of the viral video explained.
In the comments, they confirmed the passenger's words, but emphasized that there is a certain time limit for being late.
"Just make sure that you are not more than 2 hours late after your flight departs on schedule," they advised tourists.
