In partnership with Dr. Poonam Krishan, a Glasgow-based GP and media personality, insurance company Staysure has compiled a list of the 10 most expensive vacation destinations where you can end up in the hospital during your vacation, Huffpost writes. This report was created using WHO data, which does not include any tests, treatments, or medications, The Mirror reports.

"I usually have people who are otherwise healthy and have no other medical issues come to me and later come to regret taking their health for granted and experience high levels of stress and anxiety about the financial implications of being hospitalized abroad," says Dr. Krishan. - Whether it's an unforeseen accident, an allergic reaction, a serious infection, appendicitis, or even more life-threatening illnesses like a heart attack or stroke, no one can predict that these scenarios could happen while on vacation.
