Tips for passengers: how to maintain hygiene on board and improve your flight
The flight attendant shared useful tips for passengers to help them avoid getting sick on board and after the flight, as well as to ensure a comfortable journey. Some of the recommendations concerned clothing, while others concerned contact with dirty places and the airplane.
An air travel expert under the nickname @tommycimato shared a video on TikTok with tips on what not to do in the cabin. Passengers should not expect the cabin to be sterile.
"Avoid wearing shorts, as the cleanliness of the seats is not always guaranteed. It is better to wear pants to minimize contact with germs," the flight attendant advised.
Other tips include:
- Do not touch the flush button in the toilet with your bare hands. It can harbor bacteria left by other passengers.
- Drink plenty of water to maintain your hydration levels, as the air in the plane is dry and your body needs additional hydration.
- Do not lean your head against the window. Companies do not always have time to wipe these areas.
- Don't hesitate to ask flight attendants for help if you need food, water, or a bag because of nausea.
