The Ryanair travel bag for £12.99 passed the airplane check: all the luggage for 2 weeks fit in
When choosing a carry-on bag for air travel, it's important to consider its size to ensure it meets the airline's restrictions, thus avoiding additional costs or boarding issues. The bag's functionality is also crucial, including ease of carrying, organizational pockets, and the ability to fit easily under the seat.
The price of such a bag is also a significant factor. Bristol Lea expert Dzifa Seeberg tested a £12.99 Ryanair bag and was highly impressed.
When preparing for a vacation, selecting the right bag is essential. However, airline regulations from carriers like Ryanair, easyJet, British Airways, and others often lead to concerns when choosing a bag. As a result, a staff member from the publication personally tested the bag during a flight.
"I tested Ryanair's £12.99 travel bag, which waives baggage fees, and packed for two weeks," reads the conclusion after the experiment.
The model, called Narwey, is available in 28 colors and styles and has become a bestseller on Amazon with thousands of five-star reviews. It's also the perfect size to avoid those pesky small baggage fees.
Testing the Narwey bag on the plane
Ryanair is the biggest culprit in the emergence of oversized bags. We constantly feel stressed when employees measure our luggage. So before my trip to Italy, I decided to avoid this moment and experiment with a new bag, the journalist recalls.
"I travel very often due to the nature of my work and pack my luggage well. At first glance, my bag looked like a normal nice one, although it had a practical compartment for documents," she explains.
But when it came time to pack, the bag gradually became like a Mary Poppins suitcase.
"No matter how many dresses I rolled up and stuffed, the bag didn't seem to fill up. Even the unreasonable amount of underwear I added (just in case, as usual) didn't add to the bag's volume," the author of the experiment writes.
Despite the fact that all the clothes were packed, there was still plenty of room inside.
"The clothes were ready, and I had a good five inches of space between my clothes and the zipper," the report says.
When the author started to close the bag, she was surprised by its magical transformation - the bag's shapeless straps worked together with the zipper to return to its original shape, turning the bag into a perfectly rectangular carry-on.
According to the journalist, no one looked at her luggage when she boarded the plane, and the bag fit perfectly under the seat on the plane.
There are over 4000 positive reviews from customers on the Amazon marketplace.
"Ryanair employees didn't even ask to check the size of the bag. You can fit enough things in it. I had two shirts, one jumper, pajamas, a purse, all my toiletries, hair straighteners, food/drinks, and gifts and trinkets, and I could have fit more stuff. It's great for short trips."
However, there are some negative aspects. Some users mention the bag when it was overcrowded with things.
"The zipper seemed a little unreliable at times when I was overfilling the bag on the way home. But if you've ever had an item with a cheap zipper, you know as well as I do that the main thing is not to force it and it won't be a problem," users say.
