The stewardess named three ways to use a shower cap in a hotel room
Most hotels offer complimentary toiletries, including shower caps, and a flight attendant shared some clever ways to use them while traveling.
Dutch flight attendant Esther Sturrus, who currently flies for KLM and is based in the Netherlands, often shares clever travel life hacks on her TikTok channel @esthersturrus. In a recent video, she shared three "handy ways to use a shower cap in a hotel room."
Her first recommendation was to use a shower cap to cover the remote control because "they are dirty."
Shower caps can also be handy "to prevent water from dripping from the shower overnight" and "to protect shoes in your suitcase."
Travel experts shared other creative ways to use a shower cap while vacationing abroad, including as a "food cover."
They explained: "If you have a bowl of leftovers and want to protect the food from flies, put a shower cap on it to use as a lid."
Shower caps can also be used as a swimming cap, to store beach clothes, to prevent spills, to store dirty laundry, or to protect your phone in wet weather.
