Ryanair, easyJet, TUI and Jet2 airlines to update rules for liquid transportation, including baby milk
By the middle of this year, most airports plan to lift the restriction on the allowable volume of liquids in carry-on luggage. Thus, starting from June 2024, the 100 ml rule will no longer apply to most air carriers.
In particular, Ryanair, easyJet, TUI, and Jet2 airlines have announced the exemption from the hand luggage limit. What rules will apply to passengers with children and how much baby food can be transported is reported by Bristol Live.
Ryanair reported that parents transporting an infant from 8 to 2 years old can take an unlimited amount of liquid and baby food with them, which is enough for the duration of the flight. However, during the check, they must show their contents to airport security personnel.
The same rules will apply on easyJet flights. However, please note that water must be in a baby bottle and baby food in containers of 100 ml or less. All this must be stored in a transparent resealable plastic bag no larger than 20 x 20 cm.
"The 100 ml liquid limit does not apply to baby food, milk or sterilized water, provided that the total amount does not exceed 1 liter. For safety reasons, you may be asked to taste it," easyJet said in a statement.
In addition, TUI and Jet2 also allow passengers to carry mixtures and liquids, as well as solid baby food in hand luggage or in luggage. However, all of this must be checked by airport staff during security screening.
