Recovering from the pandemic: Ha Long Port to receive 80 thousand visitors
This tourist year, 60 international cruise ships will arrive at Ha Long International Port. Thus, about 80,000 registered passengers will arrive in the northeastern province of Quang Ninh in Vietnam.
The local Department of Tourism reported that well-known cruise ships will arrive at Ha Long Port, including: Mein Schiff 6 & 5, Celebrity Solstice, Noordam, MSC Spendida, and Westerdam. In addition, on January 4 this year, almost 2,200 tourists from China, Europe and America have already arrived at the port, VnExpress reported.
It is noted that such forecasts indicate the recovery of the cruise sector in the region after the restrictions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. Thus, international cruise ships will diversify the tourism resources of Quang Ninh Province and Vietnam as a whole, especially during the low tourist season.
According to Nguyen Huyen Anh, Deputy Director of the provincial Department of Tourism, the office is currently joining forces to offer foreign visitors the best services to facilitate migration procedures. To do this, it is planned to offer new cultural services, pay attention to the development of tourism infrastructure and expand the market.
Ha Long Bay was recognized as a UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site twice: in 1994 and 2000, and Quang Ninh province consists of more than 2,000 islands, accounting for two-thirds of Vietnam's total islands.
