Kids will love it here: the top 10 best places for a family vacation
When going on vacation with children, it is very important to choose a vacation destination carefully. It is worth paying attention to the length of the trip to the location, the availability of interesting activities for kids, and good family restaurants.
A huge analysis of more than 200,000 Trip Advisor reviews from parents who vacationed with their kids last year revealed some fascinating findings about the best places to travel.
The best place for parents with children is Krakow, Poland. This is evidenced by an analysis conducted by British Airways. The city scored 99 points out of 100. Each place was evaluated on a 100-point scale based on how many points it received for local housing, restaurants, entertainment, and attractions, HuffPost writes.
In addition to its rich historical heritage, Krakow also offers a lot of fun for parents with young children, including the Energylandia theme park and History Land, an interactive museum that uses LEGO and virtual reality to tell stories about Poland's history.
The good news for parents who want to avoid long flights with their baby at all costs is that eight of the top 10 destinations are located in Europe.
- Krakow, Poland
- Lisbon, Portugal
- Dubai, UAE
- New York, USA
- Madeira, Portugal
- Tenerife, Spain

Tips for traveling with kids
British Airways travel experts have also shared their top tips for traveling with kids - from how to bring all the necessary medicines to remembering to add your child to your travel insurance, here's what you need to know.
Research your destination
When researching your vacation destination, find out what attractions, family activities, and restaurants are available. Don't forget to check out the amenities at the resorts - are there playgrounds or swimming pools specifically for kids?
Don't forget to check how safe the destination is, too. Take a look at the UK government's travel advice website and don't forget to check out country guides and travel blogs about the region you're interested in.
Medicines and hydration
Young children are more likely to get sick while traveling because of their tendency to explore everything with their hands and mouths. Packing a first aid kit is very important. Keeping your little one hydrated and making sure their nasal passages are clear with saline nasal spray will also help them avoid severe colds that are easily transmitted on public transportation. Don't forget to also ask for a doctor's note or letter if your child is prescribed any medications, especially for liquids larger than 100 ml.
