"It was a fountain that did not stop": Traveller urges not to take bottles with straws on the plane

A passenger faced the consequences of disregarding airplane safety rules after she brought an empty bottle with a straw onto the plane, which she later filled with water. The woman, named Kat Darby, shared the details of the incident with her followers in a video on her TikTok page.

According to her, she did not take into account the pressure of the water in the air, as a result of which, after trying to take a sip, she was unable to stop the flow of water and doused herself and other passengers. This was reported by The Independent.

"What I didn't take into account was the water pressure. So when I opened it, it started pouring out like a hose... I hit... about 15 people with my water bottle because, luckily for me, this thing holds about 30 ounces. I couldn't get it to stop," Kat said.

According to her, the only way she could stop the flow of water was by pressing hard on the opening and pushing down on the bottle cap. However, these actions resulted in a sharp stream of liquid in her face. Summarizing the situation, Kat warned travellers against such actions and noted that flying "with a giant water bottle with a straw in it" is not the best option.

So far, the traveller's video has gained almost a million views and more than 3 thousand comments.
