How to make a business trip look like a vacation: expert advice
Although it's usually hard to imagine how a business trip can become a vacation, given that you need to keep everything under control to do your job well. However, travel experts advise making the most of this opportunity and finding time to relax even during a business trip.
According to Shanna Goodman, owner of Amp'd, a brand strategy company: "Traveling is more fun when you travel for leisure, not work." She says the opportunity to take a break for yourself is the only advantage of frequent business travel, Travel + Leisure reports.
It is noted that most people cannot even set aside Sundays to explore new places. The reason for this is the intensity of work or the basic inability to take a break from work. According to the U.S. Travel Association, 55% of employees admitted that last year they were unable to use all their paid vacation. In addition, most of them were forced to interrupt their vacation because they had to return to work.
That's why Shanny Goodman advises those who have the opportunity to go on a business trip to use this time to their advantage. She said: "I made a vow to myself that every time I go somewhere, I'm going to do something interesting. Because it's not fun and it's just a chore if you don't make it interesting."
