Flight attendant reveals how passengers are misled by serving "alcoholic" cocktails and coffee
Stewardess Sierra Mistt has lifted the curtain on her work at an unnamed airline. She told her subscribers that the crew is often trained to resort to tricks by serving cocktails with alcohol and coffee during night flights.
Few travelers realize that they are not really getting what they expect. The video was posted on the flight attendant's Instagram.
When passengers ask for a drink that contains alcohol, they hope for a full cocktail, like in bars, but on airplanes, being intoxicated can have dangerous consequences for both the drinker and the people around them.
To prevent conflicts, flight attendants add just a few drops to the drink and soak a straw in alcohol. This allows travelers to feel the taste of rum, for example, but not get drunk.
When it comes to coffee, the crew is 99 percent likely to serve decaf.
"Again, to relax you and ensure passenger safety," explained Sierra Mistt.
