A simple way to sleep in economy class: passengers were advised on how to comfortably sit in a tight seat
Passengers traveling in economy class would be delighted to learn about a simple method for getting a restful night's sleep in a cramped seat. The primary issue often stems from the uncomfortable positioning of the head and body, but this can be easily remedied.
An employee of Levitex, a company specializing in mattresses and pillows, shared on TikTok a tip for achieving comfort in economy class. Surprisingly, no blankets or travel pillows are needed.
Firstly, passengers were advised to forgo overly soft travel accessories typically draped around the neck during sleep. These items fail to adequately support the head, leading to slumping and muscle strain.
According to the expert, it's preferable to bolster the neck with a sweater or other firm clothing item, fastening it with an elastic band at the front. This method helps maintain position without causing muscle tension.
Secondly, you should support your back by placing something soft enough between your body and the seat. This position will be the most comfortable for sleeping.
If possible, you should also recline the seat back, ensuring that it does not inconvenience the passengers behind you.
The expert's advice was appreciated by more than 50 thousand people, as most of them travel in economy class and seek quality rest during their time in the air.
