A stewardess named three things in a hotel room she tries not to touch and explained what's wrong with them
Travelers can make the mistake of assuming that their hotel rooms are sterile after cleaning. During the peak season, staff have limited time to prepare the room for new guests, so some things remain dirty.
Demi, a Dutch flight attendant, shared on her TikTok what she does during check-in to feel calm. Flight attendants often spend the night in hotels as part of a flight, so they have experience in checking in and staying in different parts of the world.
Demi named three dirty things in hotels that are not thoroughly cleaned after each guest because it takes a lot of time and effort.
First of all, she said that she never uses the kettle in her room because it is impossible to predict "what was inside it." You can find stories on the Internet about people washing laundry or other disgusting things in the kettle.
The flight attendant also said that she does not touch the TV remote control without gloves. It usually collects a lot of germs, and surface wiping won't clean the remote from dirt.
