A smart trick to get nice hotel bonuses: a tip shared online
An unexpected and little-known life hack on how to get free snacks, sweets, or even alcohol at a hotel has been shared online. Usually, you have to pay extra for these items, and often this amount is quite painful for your wallet.
However, the mother of one of the bloggers shared a tip on TikTok on how she asks for additional privileges from the hotel staff. Her video received a lot of likes, and in the comments, hotel industry workers confirmed the woman's words.
The tourist asked her mother how she got the bottle of prosecco and chocolate that was left for them in the hotel room.
In response, the blogger's mother shared that in order to get a nice bonus, you just need to ask the staff, establish communication with them and sincerely tell them about your desire to make someone happy.
"First, I call, try to establish contact with the person who answered the phone, tell them a little bit about myself and who I would like to send a gift to, and just see if they can do something to make the stay a little more special for that person," the woman explained.
She noted that she was not asking for anything specific, but only asking if the staff could somehow please her loved ones during check-in. For example, a surprise could be timed to coincide with an anniversary or international holiday.
